Aquaculture Virtual Town Halls on Economic Development

The Subcommittee on Aquaculture, a subcommittee authorized by the National Aquaculture Act of 1980 and National Aquaculture Improvement Act of 1985 is composed of federal agencies focused on increasing the effectiveness and productivity of federal research, regulation, technology transfer and assistance programs.  A Economic Development Task Force of the Subcommittee is developing a strategic plan to support sustainable expansion of the aquaculture sector - one focused on economic development.

 The Economic Development Task Force invites the public to a five-part, virtual federal town hall series to inform an early draft outline for an aquaculture economic development strategy. An updated draft outline will later be published in the Federal Register for additional public comment. The Task Force will focus on one of the draft outline's four goals in each session:
