Aquaponics Association Seeks New Chairman, Leadership Positions

The Aquaponics Association is seeking a new Chairman, Secretary, Community Director, and Executive Director. Please see position descriptions, below.

Brian Filipowich has been serving as the Chairman and Executive Director of the Association since 2017. He is leaving these roles to focus on family and his full-time agriculture teaching position.

The Secretary and Community Director positions are both on the Association’s Board of Governors. Both positions are three-year terms.

The individuals that fill these roles with have the opportunity to fulfill the Association’s Mission of expanding the practice of aquaponics through education, advocacy, and connection.

The three Board positions will be discussed at the Association’s annual Member’s Meeting on Sunday, October 2 at the Annual Conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Candidates will have the opportunity to address Association Members and votes may be held, depending on the number of candidates.

The Association Board will accept applications for the Executive Director position and review candidates on a rolling basis until filled.
